Our People

When Adaro commenced its coal mining operations in 1991 it made the commitment to integrate with the local rural communities by developing programs that would enhance district economies.

One of the major programs was establishment of on-going training  and staff development schemes that would upgrade local educational and vocational standards and allow Adaro to maximize local employment.

Today, Adaro and its mining and services contractors employ nearly 11,000 people within its Kalimantan operations with more than 70% of the workforce being personnel from within the five regencies and two provinces that Adaro’s operations cover.
